Cecilia Beretta was created originally in the early eighties as an institute for advanced viticultural research and was named after the Beretta family and its prominent female figure Cecilia Beretta, a noblewoman, artist and benefactor. Often referred to as ‘baby Amarone’, Ripasso offers a lighter, fresher take on one of Italy’s great classic reds. The nose displays intense aromas of prunes and wild cherries with savoury toasted notes. The palate is round and smooth, with complex flavours of plums, black cherry, with a chocolatey finish.
